General Michael Hayden from the NSA has just been appointed as head of the CIA, the largest terrorist organization in the world. For those who believe I’m being sensational and irresponsible with this label rather than truthful, do some CIA research of your own. If Bush was serious about fighting the “War on Terror” he would’ve gone after the CIA first and foremost.

The CIA is not now nor has it ever been a central intelligence agency. It is the covert action arm of the President’s foreign policy advisers. In that capacity it overthrows or supports foreign governments while reporting “intelligence” justifying those activities. It shapes its intelligence, even in such critical areas as Soviet nuclear weapons capability, to support presidential policy. Disinformation is a large part of its covert action responsibility, and the American people are the primary target of its lies. — Ralph McGehee, Deadly Deceits

As if strengthening the military industrial complex wasn’t bad enough by appointing an active general to head the CIA, Hayden has a less than perfect understanding of the U.S. Constitution. At a press conference Hayden argued with a reporter, adamantly holding to his position that the fourth amendment says nothing about “probable cause”. Being from the NSA, Hayden claimed to be an expert on the fourth. He was, of course, wrong. Perhaps we can have a random elementary school student tutor him in civics before he does anything too tyrannical. I’m also not comfortable with the fact that he looks like Red from “That 70’s Show”.
