To my heterosexual male and lesbian readers: Have you ever wanted to sleep with Dick Cheney, but just wished there was a female version who looked and talked exactly like him? If so, you’re in luck. His daughter, Mary Cheney, was on Letterman the other night shamelessly promoting her book and reciting the good ol’ Republican talking points (video link below).

Mary explained why she’s a Republican tool, despite the fact that the administration her father controls is against gay rights. She loves and defends a party that doesn’t care about her. Sounds like an abusive relationship to me. To further prove she’s her father’s parrot, Mary says the threat of terrorism is the main reason for supporting her father’s campaign.

“We are a country at war. There are terrorists who will stop at nothing to hurt this country, to injure her people, to attack her interests. And quite frankly in 2004 I had to support the candidate that I thought was gonna do the best job of protecting this country, and no offense to John Kerry, but it wasn’t him.”

I love when people say John Kerry wouldn’t have been able to defend America, as if it is a well known fact. Wait, who actually served real military time and was awarded for their actions in battle? Not to mention, this administration had adequate warning about the trade center attacks, while doing nothing to prevent them. They’ve shown they’re incompetence repeatedly: being unwilling to save civilian lives when disaster has not only occurred, but has been forecasted as in 9/11 and Katrina. The current fiasco in Iraq has created more anti-American sentiment than ever before, multiplying any original threat of terrorism against us, and people still believe Bush is better for our country? C’mon now.
