All major stations and papers are going on about how incredible it is that Bush admitted he’s made mistakes. Well rather than add to the hype of this pseudo-story, I’d rather ask the question: is this really news to anyone? I can think of no one more criticized for their arrogance and aberration from logic than the current president. There were two things Bush apologized for, the first being his cowboy language. There have been tens of thousands of innocent deaths in Iraq, and he’s apologizing for saying “bring it on”? what a shitty apology. Alert me when he actually apologizes for the war he started. The second thing he apologized for was Abu Ghraib. So he’s apologizing for the mistreatment of detainees while simultaneously holding over 400 of them illegaly in Guantanamo? Ignoring human rights standards is a common practice for this administration. He’s not sorry Abu Ghraib happened, just sorry everyone found out about it. I’m willing to bet cameras were banned from Guantanamo the day pictures from Abu Ghraib hit the newsstand.
So why has this admission of imperfection taken so long? Perhaps because while everyone else has been aware of his blunders, Bush was actually the last person on earth to realize he’s made any mistakes. Is it possible he’s just come to this realization now? If so, this isn’t really a news story as much as it is a coming of age tale. I can only imagine how excited the media will be when Bush discovers the correct way to say “nuclear”. Oh, our little man is growing up so fast.3 Responses to “Bush Shocks World by Announcing He’s Flawed”

it upsets me whenever this administration fucks something up and they are called out on it, the conservative media says that we shouldn’t play the blame game. and now when bush finally admits to his mistakes, we should praise him for that? fuck that shit! i think the last thing we were thinking of when he decided to invade iraq was his gungho cowboy language. i don’t accept his apology nor do i believe his ass…he’s just trying to slow down his dipping approval ratings.

oh how sweet of him.
let’s hope the appology will do good to all the iraqi men who were stripped down to nothing in a culture where a man wouldn’t even show his chest to anyone other than his wife or those who were physically harmed or those who wetted themseves with fear!
well, he had to appologise, it is stupid to make a mistake and even more stupid not to appologise! so, *Clap* *Clap* well done !

Oh but wait, how can a man who talks to God EVER make mistakes?? Clearly, we must recognize that he is but a servant, and that the responsibility rests squarely on God’s Shoulders!
It’s not like Dubya should actually DO anything about the mistakes, confession is enough…
