The Israeli bombing campaign was escalated when an airstrike blasted the Palestinian prime minister’s office. Two missiles were launched by an Israeli aircraft into the empty office Sunday morning. Abbas, a political rival of the Palestinian PM, called the Israeli airstrike “a dirty, criminal act.”
Israeli Prime Minister, Ehud Olmert, threatened to step up the offense, and said that more Palestinian leaders may be abducted. So far, eight cabinet ministers and dozens of other Palestinian legislators have been arrested by Israel in retaliation for one Israeli soldier who was kidnapped last week by Palestinian militants. Contrary to the presumptions of the Israeli government, the Palestinian government says it has had no contact with the militants.
Israeli aircraft, gunboats, and artillery have continuously pounded Gaza since last Wednesday. So far, five Palestinians are reported dead as a result. UN Secretary General Kofi Annan said Sunday, “I remain very concerned about the need to preserve Palestinian institutions and infrastructure. They will be the basis for an eventual two-state solution and are thus in the interests of both Israel and the Palestinians.”
In addition, Palestinian officials had warned Saturday that a fuel shortage may shut down generators for pumping water and powering hospitals. Food, medical supplies, and fuel have been shipped in to Palestine, but the aid is not free. A single bag of flour offered as aid from the US costs $13, a price unaffordable to most Palestinians.
Determined to win The Most Unbelievably Evil Person in the World award, the Israeli Prime Minister told his cabinet, “I take personal responsibility for what is happening in Gaza. I want nobody to sleep at night in Gaza. I want them to know what its like.”

“What it is like” to what?
to lose your whole family during a beach blast or to live in constant fear? or be in need even if you lived as a king before this bloody war or to have your dad or uncle or any political figure you know in a foriegn jail or maybe he means to be orphaned? or be beaten up while you go help your mum with her shoppping and she just has to stand there and watch her son bleed so he doesn’t get shot instead?
this is a joke!
i honestly think non of the previous Israeli ministers like what this man is doing. and for what? A soldier? a single Soldier? all of this for A soldier? either it’s Ehuds son or gay partner, i don’t see why someoine would do all of this for a single soldier and i don’t see how the whole world can stand and watch. oh no, i do actually!
