Is America Israel’s Bitch?

Despite the Prime Minister of Lebanon’s plea, Bush has refused to press Israel for a cease-fire in the Mid-East crisis. The President has consistently ignored criticism of excessive force by Israel, believing that Israel has the right to “defend herself”. His firm and unquestioning support is causing friction with allies as he seeks consensus against Iran and North Korea for their suspected nuclear weapons programs. Russian President, Vladimir Putin, doesn’t believe that Israel’s actions are as justified, stating that the “use of force should be balanced”. President Chirac of France said, “One can ask oneself whether there isn’t a sort of desire to destroy Lebanon,” as the Lebanese civilian death toll reached 73. Recent condemnation of Israel has come from France, Russia, and even the Vatican. The EU has also criticized Israel for using “disproportionate force”. Rather than address Israel, Bush called on the leaders of Egypt and Jordan to end the bloodshed.

  1. Yea right, call on Egypt and Jordan. Well, the Jordanian and Egyptian presidents wil not use force and Israel does not respond to diplomacy. oh, why not just wait and see who will kill who first, after all, we will have more oil when they decompose!
Another thing, it’s not a desire to destroy lebanon, that was successfully achieved, ask any person who visited Lebanon, they will tell you it is an amazingly beautiful cosmo. country with lots of colours and life whether you just like shopping, Casinos, fashion shows, Cabarets or any sort of entertainment; no wonder there are 20,000 british citizens living and working in Lebanon not to mention all those who were there on vacation and are currently stuck there! This is already gone, so have bridges and other important infastructures.
Bush can stay as quite as he wants but he should undertand a basic rule, for every action there is a reaction (imple rule that applies in physics and politics alike!). so, in my opinion, he nor Rice should say or do anything when the “terrorists” who lost their beloved ones and homes retaliate and harm Israel or do something on American soil.

  2. Well, as much as I disagree with their ideology, I actually kinda respect the Hezbolla for stepping up to Israel in the face of their onslaught. Israel, in my opinion, pretty much can do what the fuck it wants to who ever it wants cuz it has Big Brother America at it’s back. But as every big brother truly knows, sometimes you gotta put the punk ass little brother in check. Bush and his administration are too dumb or too ignorant to realize that an independent Palestine and Lebanon are actually in the US best interest, and the goal of US peace talks for the last 30 years. Many in the state department sincerely do not want to be the Last ones supporting Israel.
BTW, I read on bbc.com that the UN already drafted a ceasefire treaty which condemns Israel’s “disproportionate use of force” as well as demands the return of the captured Israeli soldiers. 2 Guesses which country’s veto prevented the treaty from being ratified.
