Our favorite posterchild for abortion, Ann Coulter, was on Hannity and Colmes the other night along with Michael Brown and guest host Kirsten Powers. After the ever-retarded Hannity dismissed the notion of using diplomacy to deal with international issues, Coulter said the following about the Bush administration’s failure in catching Osama bin Laden. “…as for catching Osama, um it’s irrelevant. Things are going swimmingly in Afghanistan”, and then got laughed at for being a silly bitch. Embarrassed, she fakes outrage at Kirsten Powers interviewing technique for holding Ann to her words. Coulter’s eager to leave the confrontation before she’s further forced to explain her logic or lack thereof, and cries to Hannity for help. Unfortunately for her, Hannity was also unarmed in this battle of the wits and opted to remain silent. With the intelligence of a rock and face of a horse I always wondered why Coulter is famous. Oh, that’s right. It’s her sparkling personality.

Here’s a terrifying thought: Ann Coulter is Right! No seriously. As evident by our administration’s foreign policy over the last 5 years, specifically regarding the invasion of Iraq, is it not clear by now that Osama Bin Laden was never Really relevent in the first place? (other than as a red herring to incite the public into a pro war frenzy, a tactic that worked beautifully by the way.) And as far as “things going swimmingly in Afghanistan,” well, for US interests, they are! The entire country is in turmoil, and in such an environment of chaos, the US military industrial complex stands to profit greatly. Plus, in the inevitable power vacuum left by little uprisings such as Civil War, the US could have a perfect opportunity to install another dictator, I mean, democratic president without even having to declare war first!
I think she wanted to leave so badly cuz she blabbed, and knew she’d be in trouble if she gave away too much of the Neo-Con strategy. But as far as her being an idiot, well it’s obvious, but I question the intelligence of the Neo-Con leaders who trust such sensitive insider secrets to such a pair of (ahem) loose lips!
