Matt Lauer Doesn’t Back Down From Bush

Matt Lauer interviews Bush over his secret prisons and the use of torture. While I think he could’ve called Bush out on more of his bullshit, it’s still good to see Lauer ask real questions that the mainstream media rarely dares to ask. Bush claims everything done is legal (unless he disagrees with the law). Lauer then asks why these prisons need to be kept secret if they are indeed legal. Throughout the entire interview Bush uses fear mongering to justify everything, or if he’s really cornered, simply refuses to talk any further on the subject.

  1. I thought these posts weren’t supposed to be biased and use words like “bullshit.”

don’t get me wrong, i’m all for that. If such is the case, I’ll write some more.

As I’m sure you’ve noticed, I have a colorful vernacualr.

unbiased? why would you think a leftist blog would be unbiased? what i actually keep away from is conspiracy theory based on assumptions or the usual pundit ramblings which are based on sticking to sides, rather than discussing the facts. in regards to my wording, “bullshit” is a pretty factual description. when a politician brushes off the law and spews lies i’ll pull the bullshit card. it doesn’t matter to me whether that person is the president, hillary, or the governor. so in that regard, the term wasn’t based on a skewed point of view, but a rational one.

  3. To be fair, Bush’s assertion that “The Middle East and the World are Now Safer since the removal of Saddam Hussein” does technically qualify as Bullshit. Therefore, to call it that is only factual, albeit a bit vulgar.

  4. When James Lipton asks me what my favorite curse word is, without hesitation, I’ll say: “bullshit.”

It’s such a great word. “Bullshit.”

    It means so much!

Meanwhile, regarding the term “conspiracy theroy.” I’ve never liked that term as some blanket assumption regarding “un-factual” etc. Or rather, anything that cannot be cross-referenced with the BULLSHIT mass media.

In FACT! A conspiracy theory encompasses all things.

    Example:

    – “Arab terrorists CONSPIRED to create 9-11.” This is the acceptable, vox popoli and not considered a conspiracy theory.

    – “Fanatical terrorist groups within the C.I.A. and Mossad Apparatus manipulted and exicuted 9-11″ (I’m not saying this is the case) This is considered a “conspiracy theory.” How is it any different than the accepted “NON-CONSPIRACY”

I do not think that the inclusion or even abcense of FACT negotiates or even defines a CONSPIRACY THEORY… All things are conspiracy theories. All things are consipiracies.

    Therefore: Everything is BULLSHIT.

    :-)
