Banned Parenthood

A couple in Maine, upset that their 19 year-old daughter was pregnant, tied her up and planned to drive her to New York for a forced abortion. A rope, duct tape, scissors, and a .22-caliber rifle were found in their car. A loaded magazine clip was also found on Nicholas Kampf, the 19 year-olds father. Salem Police Officer, Sean Marino, wrote in a court affidavit, “Her parents chased her out into the yard, grabbed and tied her hands and feet together. Katelyn states that her father then carried her to their car and they headed toward New Hampshire.”

The Kampfs were apparently upset that their daughter was impregnated by a man whos currently incarcerated. Upon finding out she was pregnant; Katelyns parents told her she had no choice but to get an abortion. Like a bad movie, Katelyn convinced her parents to untie her in Salem so she could use a Kmart bathroom. Inside the bathroom she used her cell phone to call the authorities and ran to a nearby Staples until police arrived. The Kampfs are currently jailed on charges of kidnapping. Because Katelyn didnt know how many weeks pregnant she was, her parents decided that theyd get the abortion done in New York because of looser laws which allow abortions for up to the 24th week.

  1. WHAT????
this is not their baby and if the daghter is physically and mentally able to give birth and care for it, it is NONE of their business.
Parents should support and help their children succeed in life through advise only, not force them like criminals.
Hope they stay long enough in jail.

  2. This hilarious, only because I’m from that area and I know how conservative and pro-life the region tends to be. Had Maine and New Hampshire not been so Anti-Choice, perhaps the parents wouldn’t have felt so desperate, and perhaps the girl could’ve had other options than to tell her ignorant and clearly psychotic parents.

  3. Is it wrong that this story turns me on?

    :-)

  4. New Developement: The Attempted forced abortion may have been Racially Motivated. Maine is home to one of the largest KKK chapters in the nation. While these parents may not be members of the KKK, what the existence of such an organization suggests is a heightened and proliferated general racist paradigm in the area, a fact that I have personally witnessed as a resident of New England for 13 years. Therefore, these parents may be Christian Conservatives, Pro Life and Anti Abortion, but it never ceases to amaze how powerful Hatred can be. In this case, it may have been enough to forsake any religious or moral foundation these poor girl’s parent may ever have had. And yet, it can only expected from such a level of ignorance that, in this day and age, is as staggering as it is prevalent.

  5. @papafigue
you lost me. why would parents forcing their daughter to get an abortion be racially motivated? are you suggesting that an interacial baby was the reason for the abortion? if so, i think you’re assuming too much. you’re assuming that the girl is white, the father is non-white, and the parents are pro-life. the first two are not mentioned in the article, and the actions of the parents are a fairly strong indicator that they were pro-choice. both sides of the abortion issue have their idiots. it’s pretty obvious that the parents were not pro-life. there’s no need to assume any more than is mentioned in the source.

  6. PS: i use the term “pro-choice” loosely when mentioning the parents, since they obviously didn’t believe in giving their daughter that choice.

  7. @Administrator:
I’m not assuming anything. The victim and her parents ARE “white,” and the victim’s boyfriend IS African American. The agitation of the victim’s parents was provoked by the thought, and fear of, a racially mixed baby.

  8. interesting article. please post the link next time though when you have an update. you were correct about the races of the partys involved, but i still don’t see any mention of her parents being pro-life as you suggested earlier.

  9. sorry, but what is wrong in having an african american baby???
what did the baby do to deserve to be killed? it didn’t chose it’s own dad, nor did it chose to be concieved by a teenage mum?
