Yeah, I’m tired of this Foley stuff and I know everyone else is too, but I thought this story was worth posting. It seems the Republicans are doing more than simply distancing themselves from Foley and Hastert. First they blamed the release of the email information on the Democrats, now they’re going so far as to tie Foley and Hastert directly to the Democratic Party. The O’Reilly Factor put up a graphic on three occasions (click top left thumbnail) which labeled Foley as a Democrat. One slip could be forgiven as a simple mistake, but for it to happen three times, and on Faux News, arouses my suspicion that something much more sinister is going on behind the scenes.

It’s also been discovered that the AP went a step further than O’Reilly and identified Foley AND Hastert as Democrats (click thumbnail to the left). With elections only weeks away and the Republicans falling deeper as the public learns more about Foley’s behavior, I guess the easiest way to prevail is to confuse voters into thinking all the bad guys are from the other party. Damn liberal media indeed.
