This video describes how the use of Depleted Uranium (DU) has been disastrous, not only to targeted combatants, but to our own soldiers who spend hours in close contact with the radioactive ammunition. DU also contaminates the air, food, land, and water, poisoning non-combatants.

The US military has unloaded thousands of tons of Depleted Uranium in Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, Kuwait, and Iraq. Since DU has a half-life of 4.5 billion years, every innocent generation born in these regions will be forever poisoned.

The US has dispersed the following amounts of Depleted Uranium:

340 tons in the first Gulf War in 1991
1,000 tons in Afghanistan in 2001
2,400 tons in Iraq in 2003

  1. […] According to a report in the British journal ‘The Independent’, Israel has used missiles tipped with Uranium during its most recent bombing campaign of Lebanon. Uranium is a radioactive element, poisoning the air, land, food, and water supplies. Dr. Chris Busby, of the European Committee on Radiation Risk, stated that two laboratory tests of soil samples from bomb craters from Lebanon show “elevated radiation signatures” characteristic of uranium use. Busby states that there are two possible reasons for the contamination. One, that an experimental weapon based on the high temperature of uranium oxidation flash was used, or that the weapon was a bunker-buster using enriched uranium rather than depleted uranium. […]
