  • Laura Bush knows who the real enemy is… (wait for it) …the Media! Yes, despite the fact that the media has underreported the violence in Iraq, Laura Bush says it has failed to report the “good stories” blossoming from the pile of shit we call war. Sorry Mrs. Bush, but most any news about a disaster is bound to be bad news. Perhaps the problem is with the topic, now with those reporting it.
  • Keeping in line with fascist political leaders, “The Maverick” hates free speech. McCain has launched his War on Blogs so that the only opinion which will be legal is the one you get from a highly regulate source, such as your television. So before I’m silenced, I’d just like to say that Senator McCain is an open-faced turd sandwich.
  • Photojournalists wait months for a moment like this. UCLA had their Undie Run and the LAist had the difficult task of covering it. Like most college events, there are plenty of crazy kids, lovely ladies, and dastardly douchebags to rest your eyes upon.
  • A Gitmo prisoner recently lost his bid to challenge his detention after a judge dismissed the case because of Bush’s new anti-terrorism law. On the bright side, I hear he looks good in orange. Seriously America, when are we gonna impeach this guy and detain him under his own laws?
  • The crisis in Lebanon continues. Amr Moussa, the Arab League Chief, has not succeeded in brokering a deal. Why doesn’t Moussa just tell Hezbollah that they’re gonna be getting lumps of coal in their stockings if they don’t stop protesting?
  • Lebanon, start taking notes on how the peace-loving western hemisphere does diplomacy. Venezuela and the US may finally be ready to make amends. Chavez’s victory shook Washington out of their neo-con comma, and made them realize that this guy isn’t going away anytime soon. Legend has it that Chavez will be delivering coal to all the freezing Americans who’ve been good this year.
