Perhaps the biggest cop out in recent history, Time Magazine’s “Person of the Year” for 2006 was everyone in the world. Time not only lopped off their own head by verifying the diminishing importance of the mainstream media, but proved they were out of touch with the very people they crowned ‘Persons of the Year’, as their audience immediately tore them a new one.
Stewart basks in the absurdity of it all.
Daily Kos points out a contradiction from one of Time’s advertisers.
