Every now and then Joe Scarborough, conservative commentator, rips Bush a new one in a way even few liberals are capable of. With Bush asking Congress for an additional $245 billion, and his troop “surge” being closer to 48,000 than the proposed 21,500 troops (over twice as many), more Republicans are finding it difficult to be on board with the administration. In this clip, Joe is outraged that the White House is accusing Republicans of being unpatriotic for not supporting the president. It doesn’t feel good when it’s directed at your side does it Joe? Still, this move shows that nothing is sacred to the Bush administration. I’m no political strategist, but I imagine that accusing your base of supporting terror is one of the worst political moves you can make. Scarborough reiterates, that this war is not worth the $1 trillion dollars and over 3,000 American lives Bush has willingly given. Well, at least in the midst of this death and destruction, we can still observe the crumbling GOP to cheer us up when we’re feeling down.
