Chris Hedges speaks with Stephen Colbert about his new book, “American Fascists: The Christian Right and the War on America”. Hedges describes the “religious right” as more an imperialistic and capitalist mass movement than a religious one. He correctly states that Christian values are in direct opposition to those of modern fundamentalists. Being a Christian himself, Hedges takes it personally that such violent, bigoted, and materialistic fascists have hijacked his faith.
