For five years, Pat Robertson has been shamelessly promoting his “age defying” weight-loss shake on his Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) talk show, “The 700 Club”. In 2005, unaware that Robertson had recently licensed the shake for commercial distribution by a nationwide health-food chain, Phillip Busch told the show he had gone from 400 to 200 pounds using the shake. Robertson then exploited Busch’s image to sell his shake without compensating him. CBN showed Busch’s before-and-after shots 20 times in a promo spot, along with an interview he participated in with Robertson.

Busch has since sued Robertson for misappropriation of his image to promote the shake. However, the televangelist went beyond his role of exploiting Christ for monetary gain this week and assumed the role of Angel of Death. On Wednesday, Robertson walked into a federal court to be questioned for a deposition and told Busch, “I am going to kill you and your family.” Robertson’s attorney denies such a threat was made, though it would be nothing new to the hypocrite who also called for the assassination of Hugo Chavez. Robertson was also accused of making death threats to the sister of Mark Peterson, a business partner whom he blamed the commercial failure of Bible study courses on.

  1. I could only imagine what kind of weight an old fool would gain eating as many babies as he does. Have you checked the calorie count on a new born these days in this country? Between fast food and corn syrup, it’s SOLID.

Anyways, I could lose a million pounds too if I stopped eating babies.

  2. how does this asshole continue to get away with this kind of shit? why have the FCC and the IRS not shut him down? how can anybody with half a brain follow this smug arrogant fool who is so obviously not a KKKristian? maybe i’m wrong. perhaps he really is the embodiment of all KKKristian thinking. who needs KKKristianity anyway. grow a brain think for yourself.

  3. @rowdy
Religion certainly does not have a monopoly on ignorance and hatred.
