Anyway, Jon Stewart had the opportunity to interview former UN ambassador John Bolton, who looks like he starts off his day with a tall glass of freshly squeezed puppy. Bolton describes our system of checks and balances as some sort of liberal conspiracy to handicap the American government. Were the level of cronyism we see in the White House simply a case of Bush trying to carry out his policies with the people best suited for the job, as Bolton claims, there would be no need to constantly lie about everything. The long list of scandals, almost too numerous to remember, have arisen from the administration favoring those who are most loyal over those who are best qualified. Hence, incompetence has permeated everything Bush has laid his hands on.
