By now I assume you’re all familiar with the time-tested Republican technique of turning any argument into a litmus test for patriotism. Here, O’Reilly takes that idiocy to another level by jumping on US Colonel Ann Wright, who spent 29 years serving her country.

Billy had her on to discuss the situation in Iran, hoping to demonize the Iranians by proving that they haven’t followed the Geneva Conventions as strictly as they should. Wright agrees, but when she puts the situation in context, stating the fact that our own country is doing much worse to prisoners, she apparently stepped way out of line. C’mon Wright, O’Reilly brought you on to spew hatred and disgust towards the Iranians. If the colonel’s not going to do that then it’s time her mic is cut. Support the troops Colonel Wright!
