While many of us are celebrating the most important holiday to Christians today, we should also celebrate that we have the right to do so. The Separation of Church and State is one of the founding principles which has been under attack lately in America. Sure, the issue is important to non-Christians who object to a philosophy they don’t subscribe to controlling their lives, but it should also be just as important to the majority of Americans who classify themselves as Christian. If you’re a Christian, chances are your definition of Christianity and the Religious Right’s definition of Christianity are two opposing things. This small yet powerful group aims to convert everyone to their way of thinking by force, and have made religion and fascism synonymous with each other. If the Separation of Church and State is eroded away, so too are our freedoms.

Our good friend Blue Gal has put together an impressive “blogswarm” called Blog Against Theocracy. There are some really great articles linked there, and even our lil’ ol’ blog made the cut. Be sure to show the other participants some love.

Happy Easter.
