After months of relative peace, it seems Israel wants its media spotlight back. With a recent increase in Palestinian deaths and the end of the truce, I think there’ll be plenty more exchanges to come between futile Palestinian retaliation and heavy-handed Israeli punishment. Between the Iraq War, Virginia Tech, Anna Nicole, Alec Baldwin, and American Idol, we may need a bit of a refresher course on the Palestinian struggle. Respect Mr. Carter. Class is in session.

God, he was before my time, but the more I learn about Jimmy Carter, the more I wish I was around for his presidency.
The Hardball Host’s comment about Rwanda was a moot point. In fact, had Jimmy the inclination, it could only have strengthened one of the apparent points of his book; namely the blatent lack of opposition in this country. The United States had no real interest in opposing the Rwandan Genocides, just as it has no interest in opposing Israeli aggression. With Israel, it’s a matter of having a first world nuclear ally in a region traditionally hostile to the West. With Rwanda, well, not many people in Washington would really care if black people wipe themselves out. (Especially if they’re black Africans!) Plus there’s no Oil there, so yeah, it’s an utter non issue to the Coulter Elite.
