I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – Dennis Kucinich is the best candidate for the presidency and an all around bad-ass mofo. Maher points out that he’s probably the most rational candidate, yet considered crazy by mainstream media conglomerates. Dennis is honest, he will end the “war on drugs”, he’s been against the “war on terror” since the beginning, he opposes offensive wars in general, he’s filed articles of impeachment against Dick Cheney, he believes in universal healthcare, he’s an environmentalist, and he has the balls to say he wouldn’t assassinate Osama bin Laden. That last fact may be a bit shocking to some of us who’ve grown accustomed to our country carrying out “targeted killings” against suspected terrorists. However, executing a suspect without trial, regardless of who they are, is against international law. Not to mention, the majority of people killed in our manhunts are always innocent civilians.

If you’re not convinced yet, perhaps the most persuasive argument I can put out there to get you on Dennis’ side is the fact that he has a hot British wife.

  1. I love this man.

  2. I’m almost convinced. Serendipity - A friend sent me a link to this right as I was putting up this post

  3. He’s a marvel. And when did we decide it was a good idea to vote for candidates who already seem like they are going to win?

  4. […] RELATED STORIES: See Dennis Kucinich on Real Time With Bill Maher […]

  5. Sad that Kucinich may be to liberal for most of the good old USA. He and Graviel would make an exciting ticket. I guess I am more liberal than I believe?

  6. Excellent! I hadn’t seen this interview yet. Certainly the most rational conversation I have heard on television in a long time. On the other hand, I’m still hoping for Nancy Pelosi in ‘07! She is only two indictments away from the oval office.

  7. Yessiree folks: he’s for real.

And I’d imagine that if you broke it down with him, you’d find so many more wonderful things. He speaks of the world as “One.” No one does that. And it’s almost too much truth for some to swallow.

    Not for me though. :-)

He’s a good man people, and regarding the intention of the audience on this site, pay attention to the positive nature of his words and intentions. I’d love others to share in his vibes…

  8. truth is power
    blind, fearful ignorance is weakness
the people of the united states must speak out
    silence will not protect us

  10. why is maher so sleazy, no offense, but I can’t stand his self-satisfaction;

  11. Word. Sounds like someone from the Green Party. I only wish this were a real democracy, cuz then this guy would have a chance!

  12. The only candidate not fooled by George Walker Bush !

  13. I like what Kucinich said in the debate, his policies.

I also want to take into consideration successful experience being the top executive of a big organization, be that a govt entity or other organization.

The Wikipedia entry for Kucinich says he was horrible as Cleveland’s mayor, in the 10 worst of all time (eg a WOAT)

  14. @NoMamesBuey

The Wikipedia article you’re referencing says that the reason Holli notes Kucinich as such a bad mayor is because of his temperament. I haven’t read the book, but that reason seems a bit petty to me. The Wiki article then goes on to say: “Kucinich’s supporters say that Kucinich kept his campaign promise of refusing to sell Muny Light to CEI and was brave for not giving in to big business. In fact, in 1993, then-Cleveland Mayor Michael White cited Kucinich’s ‘wisdom’ in not selling the utility. In 1998 the council honored him for having the ‘courage and foresight’ to stand up to the banks and saving the city an estimated $195 million between 1985 and 1995.”

I guess it all depends on your priorities and what you consider mayoral qualities. I’d rather have a mayor with a short temper than one who sells America out to big corporations. The Daily Kos puts that same Holli argument forth against Kucinich, but Kos is a moron who’s more concerned with backing a Democrat who will win than backing a Democrat with good ideas. Kos attacks Kucinich for being too dedicated to liberal philosophy, yet has the audacity to call himself a liberal blogger? He’s about as far left as Hillary Clinton, and wouldn’t know liberalism if it broke into his mansion and went on strike.

…rant over. Sorry everyone, but I’m far too honest not to say that Kos is a bit of a douche.

This is the kind of person we need in the White House. Someone who will stand up against the corruption and greed of his fellow presidential candidates, top tier Democrats included.” 3 Videos: Your daily dose of Dennis “Dennis’ plan for Healthcare is posted below the fold, along with his criticism of the Iraq Supplemental Bill which will privatize Iraqi oil. The third video is a more light-hearted interview.” […]

  16. People have wondered for a long time. How crazy is Dennis Kucinich? The man lost his ability to reason left him long ago. To think that this man is one of the top 100 people in the US shows that it takes nothing to become a US Senator. He alone shows why the last Senator to be elected President that was as Senator was JFK. And I obviously don’t mean John F. Kerry. It is a good thing that the Main Stream Media pays no attention to him as well. I guess the founding fathers knew what they were doing.

  17. @Boogman
Ah, what a refreshingly baseless rant. If you’re going to denigrate someone’s ability to reason it would stand within reason to cite some examples supporting your accusation.

Additionally, Dennis is not a senator. Learn a bit about our branches of government before you criticize those in them you know just as much about.

  18. Clearly you have no idea what you’re talking about, Boogman. You seem to be confused between Senators and Representatives. Kucinich is not a Senator, and therefore not one of the “top 100 people in the US.”

Instead of meaningless, completely inaccurate attempts at character assassination, why don’t you bring up a concrete example to illustrate that Dennis is “lost his ability to reason left him long ago?”

Obviously your ability to create proper sentences in English left you long ago, assuming you ever actually had the ability to begin with, you silly corporate puppet.
