As is their custom, Family Guy attacked the Bush administration pretty successfully last night. They took a shot at Cheney for… well, taking shots. And took shots at Bush for… well, also taking shots, but with a different connotation.
The Griffin’s move to Texas where Chris and Meg must sneak onto Bush’s ranch and steal a pair of his underwear in order to be initiated into the Texas Youth Club. This is perhaps a reference to the bizarre initiation rituals of Skull and Bones, to which G. W. Bush was/is a member. Cheney is shown guarding the place with his infamous boomstick, which strikes terror into the faces of old men everywhere. Quail, not so much.
After entering the home, there are pictures of Bush with Reagan, Saddam, Osama, and the Devil, in that order. I’m not sure if they get better or worse from left to right. Also referenced are Cheney’s approval ratings, his hypocrisy on gay and lesbian issues, George Bush’s coke and alcohol abuse, his frequent vacationing, and a claim that Laura Bush is a frequent customer to Planned Parenthood.
As we’ve posted before, criticizing the administration is nothing new to Family Guy. However, the criticism seems more personal than before. Perhaps they felt as though they’ve already made their point, and just wanted to give a personal dig towards a group of people now widely regarded as horrible human beings. Likewise, there’s no reason to point out why Hitler is a bad person. Instead, Family Guy treats Hitler as a punchline, assuming that the audience is already in agreement that he is not a good person. This now seems to be the case with Bush. The jury is not out anymore on his failed policies.

I cant get over how accurate shows such as family guy and South Park are on th situations and people they are imitating.
They seem to have the inside scoop long before anyone else, once again a poignent and some would say mor than accurate production
