Due to a recent report criticizing PM Olmert’s leadership during the pre-planned war in Lebanon last year, Stewart took aim at Israel’s own bloodthirsty leader. I believe this is the first time Stewart has actually criticized the Israeli regime, and comparing the leader of Israel to George W. Bush is one hell of a slam. The war against Lebanon, which was revealed by Seymour Hersh to have been executed by the US and Israel as a prototype for a future war with Iran, failed to get back any of the captured Israeli soldiers. In fact, Israel’s war has helped to destabilize Lebanon and strengthen support for Hezbollah. Sound familiar? With conservative and liberal Israelis both calling for the Prime Minister to resign, Stewart notices a few similarities between our leaders.

By special request, the following is a protest against Israel’s summer war which we had a chance to take part in on August 12th, 2006.

  1. Might I suggest a certain Protest Video reference, Just in case people need a little reminder of that eventful summer?

  2. Great idea. Done and done.

  3. Pretty funny, but not a very serious analysis of the causes of the Lebanon war, and Stewart repeats the lie that Lebanon “kidnapped” Israeli soldiers, who were taken prisoner, and for damn good reason. Basically he is trivializing the issue and therefore playing a defacto Zionist role in sidestepping the main issues: Zionist Controlled US Congress.
