Former Senator and Democratic candidate Mike Gravel joined Colbert to talk about our occupation of Iraq and its similarity to Vietnam. Gravel tells us not to vote for billionaires, regardless of what party they’re from. He also considers having Colbert as his running mate, the only thing which could make me reconsider my endorsement for the Kucinich/Maher ticket.

  2. ha! he did ten times better than any other stuffed shirt Dem would do on that kind of show…you can tell he’s having the time of his life, and isn’t hung up on image, and it’s infectiously refreshing. why can’t people see the benefits of having an actual human being as president, somebody who can both argue about moral judgment AND trade quips with colbert? and who has a laugh that doesn’t creep you out. too good to be true.
