Paul is chastised by Republican leaders for telling the truth, yet the same can be seen in the Democratic Party against Gravel and Kucinich. In fact, Democratic presidential candidate Chris Dodd, who was interviewed by Maher earlier in the show, even distanced himself from Paul’s comment. How sad is it when a Republican proves himself to be more progressive on foreign policy than the majority of Democratic candidates?
