The Simpsons’ momentous 400th episode delivered a strong political message by going after their own network, the groupthink of the Republican base, the complacency of the press, and the corporate masters who control it all. This is not the first time Fox News has been assailed by The Simpsons. During a therapy session in a previous episode, Bart described them as a “crazy propaganda network”.
In a gaff which seemed to be a reference to the Don Imus scandal, Kent Brockman loses his job over an on-air curse he blurts out when Homer spills hot coffee on his lap. The rest of the episode is posted below and basically speaks for itself.
Homer’s Money Quote: “Did you know that everyday, Mexican gays sneak into this country and unplug our braindead ladies?”

If the simpsons was still funny this might be relevant. The Family Guy episode was hilarious though.

Obviously supporting the Simpson’s = supporting Terrorists. Blind obedience to Jesus, George Bush, and our perfect government; thats what I’m all about!
Now I’m off to get me a gun to protect myself in case that perfect government tries to take over my home!

Finally, someone has the courage to attack Fox News and the Republican party. What a timely, relevant joke. (Incidentally, I’ve been in a coma since 1998.)
And thanks to Andy for pointing out that Republicans are all about blind obedience, except not really. Which sort of disproves your whole point.
Doesn’t matter. You’re totally right. The only reason to own a gun is paranoid delusion, and we can totally trust the government enough to turn over all means of self-defense to them. If I get robbed, George Bush’s government will save me, right?
Now I’m off to burn an American flag and carry around placards accusing my government of killing people for oil.

I found it much more amusing when I played both videos at the same time… kinda like a Darkside of the Moon and Wizard of Oz thing. Try it. It’s fun.

@comish & kaziglubey:
Actually, funny story.
My brother is now into collecting guns, and owns a shotgun, 2 rifles, and a couple of handguns. As cool as that is, I asked him why he felt the desire to arm himself so suddenly. He said it was to protect himself from any lowlifes who might break into his house.
He lives in one of the lowest crime zones in the nation, and his house is…well, let’s just say economically it really wouldn’t be a target. Ever.
But yeah, I pressed him and he seriously believes the hippies and the impoverished would one day come to his doorstep. So I tell him a few things about the Government and the Department of Treasury, as well as the Federal Reserve. I didn’t even mention the White Nationalists.
So now he’s really scared, but for what it’s worth, hippies and poor people are off the hook.

It’s great that Matt has control of the show and can do stuff like this . There aren’t many other shows out there that are willing to attack and ridicule their own network.
