All Kucinich supporters share a special bond called frustration. As I said last month, this frustration is due to the fact that liberals refuse to support Kucinich, even though they overwhelmingly agree that he’s the best candidate. The “I’d vote for him if he had a chance” argument is insanely stupid. Have we become so apathetic as a nation that we’ve simply accepted that “political support” is more important than what we actually want? There is a huge gap between public opinion and the policies of both parties. Yet, the prevailing mentality is that your team must win, no matter what your team stands for. The needs of the party supersede those of the nation.

For years and years, roughly two-thirds of the US population have consistently been in favor of socialized healthcare, yet the issue doesn’t have “political support” because it’s opposed by insurance companies and financial institutions. We then support candidates who do not represent our interests simply because corporate America tells us we’re throwing our vote away by supporting anyone else. In actuality, the opposite is true. We’ve been throwing our vote away for decades.

Now that my rant is over, I’ll let Davis Fleetwood start his.

If you want to know why Dennis Kucinich is labeled as “unelectable” by the the media, just look at how disgusted Neil Cavuto is with Dennis’ idea that every American should have healthcare. It’s no wonder that the corporate news networks won’t allow Kucinich to speak unless it’s to ridicule and marginalize him so that the public will think this candidate of the people is actually out of step with their interests.

This character assassination recently took its most disgusting turn when Glenn Beck stated that Kucinich probably used a “date rape drug” to get his wife to marry him. Olbermann featured Beck as the “worst person in the world” for that comment, but even he fucked up by stating that Kucinich is a Republican. Can we rely on anyone to acknowledge the existence of this man for what he is if not for what he represents?

  1. In Respect to Drug Research.. The truth is that they spend very little on research and development than they do in Lobbying the Drug, Marketing it to doctors, and Adminstratative expenses. Now There Type A and B Drug. Type A For example is a new drug, revolutionary new drug that helps cure for something. And Type B is the same drug with slightly different composition but cures the same thing. B is the cheapest to Research and Develeopment because it’s existing. So Guess what type of drug gets out in the market more. Type B is the most produced in the market, and Guess what drug they pay doctors to enjoy a nice $100 dinner on behalf of the drug companies so they’ll prescribe it to there patients. So the whole arguement Kuvuto makes is completle bull and these Drug companies are Criminals in my mind, they aren’t just making a buck, they are killing people, and do alot of other worst things.

  2. Thanks for breaking it down proper Hugo. That’s pretty much the way it works.
    And it sucks!
Cavuto, you know, the first idiot with the help of some movie critic from a local christian paper to call “Happy Feet” poisonous and evil, stays in character as he repeats the same point over and over without allowing Kucinich to fully respond. Good thing too, had he done so, Kucinich’s penchant for reasoned rationality would have left Cavuto looking more ignorant than he already did. Apparently, taking an existing drug, Drug B, as so eloquently put by Hugo, that works just fine, but whose patent is about to run out, thereby becoming extremely affordable but not Profitable, and adding one or two ingredients, such as salt or baking soda, thereby making it technically different than the original version, though no more or less effective, and then releasing it under a whole new patent, thereby increasing the price 2 to 10 fold while garnering hundreds of millions of dollars in profit, has, according to Cavuto, NOTHING TO DO WITH PROFIT.

Nick should change the name of his program from “Your World” to “Bizarro World.”
