Stephen Colbert makes short work of Washington’s 9th district in his 434 part series, Better Know a District. Apparently, the district is heaven on earth for rhubarb and Sanjaya enthusiasts alike. I only wish I had a Venn diagram to show you the huge overlap between those two groups.

Colbert sits down with Democratic representative Adam Smith, who seems to have the memory of a fish that’s afflicted with Alzheimer’s. Luckily, Stephen is there to educate him about his own district. I won’t spoil the hilarity of it all, but Colbert’s technique at getting Smith to divulge hypothetical military information is probably the most brilliant thing I’ve ever seen. Enjoy.
