Hillary Clinton Speaks Like “Traitor Joe” Lieberman

Hillary applauds the Jewish Orthodox Union for “being part of the debate”? What debate? How much Arab representation is ever allowed in this one-sided debate? She then goes on to demonize Iran, using a difference in ideology rather than facts to underscore the make-believe threat they pose. Meanwhile, both the US and Israel threaten to wipe Iran off the map.

Since Hillary’s foreign policy is based on beliefs rather than facts, let’s take a look at what those beliefs are:

  • Hillary believes that the leaders of Iran are anti-Semitic, not simply anti-Zionist. However, Iran’s Jewish population is the second largest in the Middle East, and is officially recognized and protected under their Constitution.
  • Hillary believes there is no doubt Iran is seeking nuclear weapons with its program, and not simply the nuclear energy which it desperately needs.
  • Hillary believes the “outrageous and repeated rocket attacks against Israel” are deeply saddening, though they have only killed 12 people since 2001. She makes no mention of the thousands of innocent Palestinian lives lost to Israeli missile strikes.
  • Hillary believes Iran is a “military threat” although the country is focused on national defense, and has very little capacity to strike outside its borders.
  • Hillary believes Iran can “do harm to Israel and the United States,” though Israel has hundreds and the US has thousands of nuclear weapons.
  • Hillary does not believe Hamas has the right to resist the 40 year-old occupation of its land.
  • Hillary believes in the continued apartheid and illegal seizure of Palestinian land caused by the “separation barrier” which she supported.
  • Not only does Hillary believe the US and Saudi-backed violence in places like Lebanon is “spontaneous,” but she blames it on Iran and Syria.
  • Hillary believes we should all support the government of Israel, “no matter who the government is”.

My bullshit-o-meter went off the scales on this one. So if anyone else is willing to take up the task of correcting Lieberman’s plethora of lies, as I’ve done with Hillary, you’re a better person than I.

  1. Thanks for that. There are times when I think there is no difference at all betweent the Dems and the Repugs, especially when the subject is Israel. Nothing contributes more to Americans being hated around the world than this slavish devotion to an occupying power, and the total inability to understand why an occupied people might want to drive you from their land.

    So Hillary is being an arse on this subject. Lieberman on the other hand is simply delusional. Someone has told him that Iran is attacking Americans so he takes whatever person told him this at their word, despite the armed forces saying they cannot prove any link. None of this matters to old Joe.

    I notice he also got the Hitler/Chamerlain comparison in. Christ that’s original. I wonder if more insane right wing loons will take up that highly original thought?

  2. Lieberman is a corporate shill, no more, no less. He is disingenuous- do not mistake his position as ignorance or think he’s been duped into supporting Bush policies. That ass knows what he’s doing. I wonder what he expects in the 111th Congress? The Democratic lead will surely widen, as sure as the sun will rise in the morning, thus his chairmanship will also surely be stripped. Why support the GOP when you know they are going down in flames? I’ll tell you why in one word- greed. Joe is old and don’t think his mind isn’t fixated on his “retirement package.”

    On Hillary- her downfall may well be trying so hard to sell a woman President to the American voter (and more specifically to the establishment wary of a non-warmongering Prez.) In trying to show she has balls she may lose the progressive support which I believe will be essential for whoever wants to win in 2008.

  3. There isn’t a candidate for Prez that isn’t a corporate shill; or so it seems to those of us who are looking on from the sidelines. They all seem more concerned with getting elected than their constituents’ or the horrendous issues of education and poverty facing your nation. The sub-prime mortgage fiasco is but a tip of the proverbial iceberg.

    Having to raise millions of dollars to contend as front runners in the race to the WH should be warning enough for most citizens to see in whose best interest the candidates speak.

    But bought and paid for complicit corporate media spin convinces the masses to measure raising huge amounts of money as proof of commitment of a candidate to the people on the yardstick of electable credibility.
    Stupid uninformed conditioned sheeple.
