Al-Qaeda leader Abu Omar al-Baghdadi, also known as Abu Omar al-Baghdadi to his homeys, was killed in May, according to Major General William Caldwell at a press conference in Baghdad. However, it seems the Sunni al-Qaeda leader has taken notes from Tupac, and released an audio recording after his supposed death.
“We are giving the Persians, and especially the rulers of Iran, a two-month period to end all kinds of support for the Iraqi Shia government and to stop direct and indirect intervention … otherwise a severe war is waiting for you,” al-Baghdadi said in an audiotape posted on a militant website. “We advise and warn every Sunni businessman inside Iran or in Arab countries especially in the Gulf not to take partnership with any Shia Iranian businessman, this is part of the two-month period.”
Al-Baghdadi, who is head of the Islamic State in Iraq, said his Sunni fighters have been preparing to wage a battle against Shia-dominated Iran. Iraq’s Shia government is backed by the US but closely allied to Iran.
It seems al-Qaeda may beat the US to the punch in terrorizing Iran for its influence on Iraq. The US claims Iran is personally arming and financing Shia militias in Iraq, something Tehran denies. However, being woefully ignorant of the differences between Muslims, the West has also accused Iran of having ties to al-Qaeda. Needless to say, there is no real proof to back up either accusation, but at least the latter is now laughably dismissible.

Al Qaeda and Iran have every reason to cooperate against the US in Iraq. They both want to dominate in the region, and the US is the biggest obstacle standing in their way. You nust know that that the statement by Al qaeda is more than a simple threat. The Sunni tribes have been turning against Al Qaeda and helping the US, partly because Al Qaeda are a bunch of insane murderers, but also because thier is evidence that they have been cooperating with Iran. If Al Qaeda can convince the Sunni chiefs that 1. they are not in bed with Iran, and 2. that the end result of US victory in Iraq will be domination by Shiia Iran, they may reestablish their alliance.
You really need to think deeper about these things. Only an idiot accepts what Al Qaeda says at face value.

@Brock
Please post your undeniable proof that the Iranian government is working with al-Qaeda. Nowadays, evidence doesn’t seem to be as important as speculation does it? By your logic, we could assume that every organization and Muslim nation in the Middle East is cooperating with each other because they all want the US out of the region.
Iran has wared with al-Qaeda and the Taliban before we ever did, even teaming up with us after 9/11. They’re not stupid. Iran is not sponsoring an organization whose ideology is a threat to its own existence. No, we’re the only country that really does that.
You really need to think deeper about these things. Only an idiot accepts what the White House says at face value.
