In this documentary from 2003, Chomsky reflects on the state of world events including the War in Iraq, September 11th, the War on Terror, Media Manipulation and Control, Social Activism, Fear, and American Foreign Policy in both large forums and small interactive discussions. Interwoven, is Dr. Carol Chomsky, Noam’s wife and manager who discusses their personal life and what drives Noam. Other candid reflections about Noam Chomsky and his thoughts, work, and influence are offered by others throughout the film.

Watched the whole thing and enjoyed it thoroughly. I hope someone makes a more comprehensive and professional doc about Chomsky though. The editing here is lazy and there wasn’t enough footage to draw from. The result is an incomplete and sometimes confusing portrait of Chomsky. This is basically just edited footage of 3-4 talks he gave at Ontario’s McMaster University in 2002, with interview footage of his wife and a couple colleagues dropped in throughout.

Yeah, I noticed a few jumps and repeats in the editing. I’m not sure whether those were mistakes in the actual documentary, or if they were the fault of the person who spliced and uploaded it to YouTube.
