The anti-war movement needs as many of us in DC on September 15th as possible. Many young people don’t think protesting makes a difference. They see history as a series of milestones, not realizing that before defining moments such as Rosa Parks’ defiance that there were tons of demonstrations beforehand which created the atmosphere necessary to breed such resistance. Even if you do not see immediate results, it is important to realize that your efforts do make a difference. The majority needs to stop listening to the minority when they tell us we can’t change the way things are. If you can’t make it to DC, then act locally. There is nothing more important right now.
