I usually don’t bother posting about Malkin or Coulter, but with the vile hate speech this woman regularly spews against immigrants and minorities in general, one wonders exactly what Michelle’s parents think of her “job”. I’m sure they’re not exactly on speaking terms. Being half Filipino myself, a little piece of me dies every time I hear her channel a 19th century klansman. It’s truly frustrating when an underrepresented minority is stuck with a bigot like Malkin as the group spokesperson. I don’t know exactly why Michelle Malkin hates Michelle Maglalang so much, but I’m sure it had to do with people like present-day Malkin stunting her perception while she was growing up. What a wretched cycle of self-hate.

Only on Faux News can an Asian who argues that the internment of Japanese-Americans was a good thing be allowed to dissipate her message of white supremacy to an unquestioning audience. This has become one of many new Republican strategies. Minorities are used to circulate racism and xenophobia towards their own kind because they are immune to such charges. During Katrina and Jena 6 we got to see the black Republicans rolled out of storage and declare that racism is dead everywhere except inside the black community. During immigration debates we got to see Hispanic Republicans prove their patriotism by denouncing their underpaid brothers and sisters as criminals. I’m just waiting for the Native-American Republicans to declare that their ancestors deserved smallpox for accepting welfare in the form of blankets.

  1. God forbid minorities have any opinion other than democratic liberal. They’ll be hurting their “brothers and sisters” of their ethnicity. Nice. Do you find it offensive when white people vote against their own ethnic interests? If you did, you’d be offended a whole lot.

  2. @KazigluBey
Did you miss the word “underrepresented” or did you just skim the article in a rush to flame it? The entire point which you seemed to voluntarily overlook is that white people have enough representation in the media as to have a wide range of views from intellectual to idiotic present. No one thinks O’Reilly is representative of all white people anymore than Al Gore is. Being an underrepresented minority means that the only impression some Americans have ever had of Filipinos is Michelle Malkin. There is no positive Filipino figure to counterbalance this woman’s influence.

You’re also wrong in stating that my beef with her is about her political affiliation because she’s not a “democratic liberal”. No, the problem is that she’s a raging bigot whose rants have no intellectual merit. Were she a rational conservative, this post condemning her racist remarks wouldn’t exist. If you think bigotry is a legitimate “ethnic interest” of whites or even a classic conservative opinion worthy of respect then that’s rather telling.

  3. As stupid as all racism is, and yes, ALL racism is stupid, from personal experience I have found, for no particular reason whatsoever, that as a group, Asian Americans are some of the most racist people I’ve encountered, particularly toward their own race.

Apparently, within the Asian communities, specifically Chinese, Japanese, Phillipino, Vietnamese, etc., there is a clear distinction between AB’s, American Born, or in some cases, Americanized Asians and FOB’s. FOB, or Fresh Off the Boat, is a term that I’ve never heard used by a non-Asian, and most frequently when it’s an ABA speaking with no small amount of disgust/disdain for their foreign born brothers and sisters. I’ve heard it so often that I’ve pretty much come to expect this kind of talk from American Asians like this ignorant bitch.

It’s not just stupid, it’s sad. I know for a fact that Bruce Lee, a hero to me, would have a huge problem with this kind of double-think, particularly because he was often a target of it himself.

    @Kaziglubey:
Careful. I’m sure you’re not arguing that only “democratic liberals” believe in the whole equality thing, and that Conservatism, therefore, advocates Bigotry in any form. I mean, I know historically it’s accurate, but it leaves little room for the obligatory denial.

  4. Thanks your message is funny.
I will definitely read your diary..
    bye

  5. As always, Keith cuts to the heart of things.

Michelle Malkin strikes me as a self-hating, attention grabbing, insane, borderline personality narcissist with serious anger management issues… Yes, I realize I have not said anything most of you have not already thought of, possibly in that order!

Seriously- what is her game? Who knows, but she is hateful and vile and IMHO, possibly one of the worst people of the day, every day.

  6. Addendum:
It just occured to me that the title of this blog entry was “self-hating racist.” Subsequently, I realized that this actually may Not be true due to one fact: Asians are usually very specific about their heritage.

Rarely will you find an Asian who refers to themselves as Asian, (though when you do, they’re usually from Irvine!) Chinese people will call themselves Chinese, and see their ethnic identity as absolutely different and separate from, say, Japanese, Koreans, Vietnamese, Phillipino, etc al.

Therefore, Malkin’s comments against the Chinese and the Japanese, though racist and/or bigoted as they are, may not count as “Self-Hatred,” simply because she may not be Chinese or Japanese. Honestly, I have no idea where Maglalang comes from, which is disturbing because I’m usually pretty good at placing Asian names with their respective countries. But I am pretty certain that this name is neither Chinese nor Japanese.

So any bigoted comments she might make against these two ethnic identities is not “Self-Hate.” It’s just plain ‘ol racism and bigotry.

    Sorry, Manilla.

PS~Of course, if she does happen to be of the descent of any of the Asian peoples she has discriminately blasted, then everything I just said is bullshit.
Sorry again. Educated guesses, what a bitch.

I was more responding to this comment you made: “Minorities are used to circulate racism and xenophobia towards their own kind because they are immune to such charges. During Katrina and Jena 6 we got to see the black Republicans rolled out of storage and declare that racism is dead everywhere except inside the black community. During immigration debates we got to see Hispanic Republicans prove their patriotism by denouncing their underpaid brothers and sisters as criminals.”

There you very blatantly say that any conservative minorities are self hating and false, insinuating that the only “true” political opinion a non-white can have is democratic liberal. And the “brothers and sisters” based on race just about makes me gag. I’ve never considered another white person my brother or sister based on where their ancestors came from 200 years ago, so why is this encouraged in people of other ethnicities?

It’s almost like you expect white people to be greedy businessmen willing to exploit both whites and non-whites alike, while non-whites are expected to be naturally benevolent to their own kind and work against their own self interests to help other people of the same color as them.

  8. @PapaFigue
My labeling Malkin as “self-hating” is actually based on her stance against immigrants, and on more than what she said in this most recent statement. For example, Malkin herself was born to Filipino parents who were in the US on visas, but she is one of the loudest voices against what she calls “anchor babies”. Other anti-immigration figures like Lou Dobbs are usually very careful not to invoke race as a reason for their stance on immigration. Malkin, on the other hand, uses race as her main argument.

    @KazigluBey
“There you very blatantly say that any conservative minorities are self hating and false, insinuating that the only ‘true’ political opinion a non-white can have is democratic liberal.”

I blatantly stated that? I don’t think that word means what you think it means. I would have “blatantly” said that if that’s what I meant. Your interpretation is flawed, not my statement. Stating that conservative minorities are rolled out by the Republican Party when charges of racism arise is entirely true. They are indeed used by the party to “circulate racism and xenophobia” in a way white Republicans can’t. I stated that these particular talking heads, and Malkin in particular, are dissipating that message. If you understood my clear statement to mean that ALL minorities must be “democratic liberals” then the fault is yours. It’d also be rather stupid of me to insist such a party affiliation since I myself am a minority but not a Democrat.

“It’s almost like you expect white people to be greedy businessmen willing to exploit both whites and non-whites alike, while non-whites are expected to be naturally benevolent to their own kind and work against their own self interests to help other people of the same color as them.”

Oh please. I haven’t said anything derogatory towards whites. If you want to debate about anything I’ve actually said then we can do that, but don’t attack stances I don’t have simply because you have a chip on your shoulder. You’re posting strawman arguments against things you assume I might think based on your flawed interpretations.

  9. She’s Phillipino?! Damn, she doesn’t Look Phillipino at all. (Or maybe it’s just the stupid face she’s making…)

  10. I totally agree with a previous entry about race and ethnic background being very important to Asian culture/society. However, I think this Malkin chick is pretty easy to explain. She is just trying to be the next Ann Coulter. She says shit like a shock jock, I’m sure not even considering what is spewing out her mouth half the time, just to entertain the people watching TV. I honestly think those two believe the crap they say as much as any mainstream politician does, which is not at all. People like Malkin or Coulter are harmless. Seriously, if anyone who forms their opinion of Filipinos from Malkin, chances are that even with a positive role model, they would be racists.

  11. Hello this comment is funny.
I will definitely read your site..
    Thanks

  12. I fully agree 100% it almost seems like she feels that by selling out her people (fillipinos asians) she could be promoted to a true american patriot which she will never be in reality how can another race besides yours like yore race if you dont accept and love youre own! shese the most stupid person in the world! thats like jessie jackson hating blacks! and hilary clinton hating white women!

  13. She’s an embarrassment to asians and filipinos. This self hating anchor baby needs to go away.

  14. I agree with the above comments. Michelle Malkin is a truly repulsive character.

  15. When a day goes by without a Jeff Sessions, a Sarah Palin, a Michele Bachmann, a John Ensign, a Pat Buchanan, a Mark Sanford, a Rick Perry, a Saxby Chambliss, a Haley Barbour, a Mike Bebee, a Chuck Grassley, a Rush Limbaugh, a Glen Beck or a Michele Malkin saying something absolutely idiotic, racist or disgraceful, the universe will implode.

  16. Malkin is a brown devil who joins the white devils! When the sun shines, white devils die and eat brown Malkin!

  17. Amazing to this non-liberal how self-deluded liberals can be. Because they ‘think’ they know their own hearts, they automatically assume to know the hearts of others as well. The reality is you know NOTHING about Malkin or Coulter except what is filtered to you by lib sources.

Remember that the Japanese were put in internment camps by DEMOCRATS. You’re ACTING like a useful idiot. Hopefully you’ll stop embracing the victim mentality liberals want you to have.

  18. Liberal Enlightener you have just committed the same falicy that people are always accusing conservatives of committing. Whether you did it because you are ignorant or on purpose (as Fox news does quite a bit) is irrelevant when it comes to you all making yourselves look bad. Your offense is that you do or should know that Democrats used to be more conservative and Republicans used to be more liberal. At the time in history when the Japanese were in camps the Democrats and Republicans were not what they were today so using that tactic is pointless.

Also you’re right we only know about Malkin and Coulter what they put out there for us. Michelle Malkin has a blog in which she constantly spouts the good ole boy mentality and one day she will realize that although they may use her when it’s convenient for them she will NEVER be one of them. For now she’ll just have to settle with making sure her children and grandchildren only marry white people to wash away the Asian she seems to hate so much. Don’t assume that because you only know what fox news tells you that that means we do the same. I’ve watched the other side and what I believe about Malkin and Coulter comes from their own mouths.

I don’t see anyone embracing victim mentalities by giving their opinion of Michelle Malkin. It appears you just repeat whatever you hear Ann Coulter say!
