The commentary on Olbermann’s commentary will be provided by Blue Gal from part of a rant she made on Friday:
Here’s my sense of what is called for in terms of collegiality: if Mukasey or any other suited twit wore his candy cock ring into my senate Judiciary Committee meeting and started spouting trash about the Constitutional provisions that George Bush has thought such an inconvenience, providing my committee patient assurance that, in the legal opinion of many well-regarded blind fascists, the President can legally do whatever the fuck he wants, this is the reception he’d get.

As always, Keith cuts to the heart of the matter.
The fact that the asshats in our government want to not just ignore what we know to be true about torture but that all this mental masturbation conversation must occur about it… It just makes me ill.
I recently read “Letters from Nuremberg” by Christopher Dodd. His father’s letters from that famous trial are such a treatise for why we need to have such standards, even when- especially when, dealing with the most heinous of criminals.
Which of course means that we will have to have such standards on the great day that we get to deal with George Bush, criminal.

@FranIAm:
I sort of disagree with the last thing you said. I am actually in favor of, not “Torturing,” but applying “Enhanced Interrogation Techniques” on the members of the Bush Administration, you know, once we arrest them. They’ll be arrested for Treason, but we won’t tell them. Instead, we’ll just detain them for an indefinite period of time while we implement these “Non-Torturous” methods. Hell, we don’t even have to ask questions.
I’d love to see the NeoCons defend their rhetoric on that one!

Good one PapaFigue, hadn’t thought there was a positive side to ‘waterboarding,’ you know, that ‘non-torturous’ method so highly recommended by the mercenary administration whose vice-[interesting word, yes?]-decider’s deplorable aired lies and cunning policies have already robbed America of its honour and respect from near and afar outside the highly contested police-state borders now being built to secure your increasingly corporate media induced ‘fearful’ nation.
Have lost faith in Karma though, if it had legs it should have trod upon the illuminati and quashed its world leader puppets perpetuating conflict and torture here and abroad in their greed for resources …centuries ago.
