The visuals in this video have a really harmonious relationship with the melody of the song. I personally think this illustration style is a bit played out (especially here on the West Coast) but I do really dig the way it comes to life in this medium. 1. Dope video. I really need to pick up that book of lyrics Aesop Rock put out a couple years back. There’s no doubt that he is one of our generation’s most prolific poets, but even though I’ve come across a few tracks of his that I love, for the most part I just can’t understand wtf he is saying.

  2. Agreed Ev. The first few times I hear one of his songs I just expect that he’s saying something profound. It usually takes me a dozen times of repeating an Aesop track and absorbing the vibe before I can fully understand it. What’s the name of that book? Sounds like a good Christmas present.
