13. Are you guys serious?? Soulja boy is one of the most talented free-style artists since Cassidy and J-Kwon. I may have only been born in 1993, but I can take it back old school… all the way back to Nelly and Chingy. I think you guys should come up with a rapper worse than Soulja boy if you want to diss now-a-days rap. I mean, Will Smith was good waaay back in the day (in 1997, Big Willy Style), but now he’s more of an actor I think.

21. All the waaaaaay back to Chingy and Nelly? Kid, I remember the first time Eminem ever released a single! Now that’s old school! (for the record, no, it’s not. 1997 is NOT old school. 1993 is arguably the cutoff point cause rap stopped sounding like MC Hammer around then thank God :] )

    For cryin out loud find yourself some NWA/Dre, Tupac, Beastie Boys, LL Cool J, Public Enemy, and yes, Will Smith/Fresh Prince before you start talking like you know something. Then find some old Ludacris and Jay Z and Busta Rhymes and Puff Daddy and buy The Chronic and download everything you can by DMX, and hell maybe find a couple tracks with Ja Rule on them to give you perspective on 50 Cent. THEN and ONLY THEN should you move on to “old school” Nelly and Chingy and Eminem and guys that hit it big after 1998

    Now, people will tell you that you should go all the way back to Cool Moe Dee and Afrika Bambataa and Eric B, but they know and I know and you should know that what those pioneers did back in the 70s/80s was so different from what you would recognize as “rap music” that it’s not even worth it cause you’ll hate it for being too different

    BTW before you start talking crap about me, yes I’m a white early 20s Canadian. And even I know hip-hop better than you.

29. To who ever says Soulja Boy is talented, It doesn’t take talent to go “Super Man, UUUU!” He is so sorry that most of the people in the Superman vid werent even him! Yeah and this is coming from a Black/Puerto Rican 15 yr old who thinks that Muse is one of the best bands out there (Hysteria is the best song ever) and who listens to a little of SOAD (Toxicity and B.Y.O.B).
