The march is underway, and we are working our way through Hollywood. We don’t have any actual numbers, but it feels less well attended this year. We aren’t sure why, but Manila thinks its Obama’s fault for giving people hope.

One remarkable thing this year is the extremely upbeat protest leaders, who are on a flatbed truck at the head of the march. Their lively beat boxing, chanting, and dancing is reminiscent of the Joker’s float from the end of Batman.
