Venezuelan President and all around badass Hugo Chavez was awarded a complete victory over the largest oil company in the world by a British judge. As BoRev reported Tuesday:
This morning a judge tossed Exxon Mobile’s $12 billion asset freeze against Venezuela out of court, on the grounds that it was stupid. The U.S. State Department, you may remember, loudly supported Exxon in the case, which was probably the kiss of death for it in the first place.
The judge has also ordered Exxon to pay for Venezuela’s state oil company’s legal costs and compensation for damages. The oil giant secured $12 billion in freezes on Venezuela’s state oil company’s assets last month, and had a US court freeze $300 million in Venezuelan assets in a US bank. Exxon says the London ruling will not affect these orders, though Venezuela’s Energy Minister disagrees. Chavez himself has called the US measures “legal terrorism” sponsored by his enemies in Washington.

HELL YEAH!
Score 1 more for 21st century Socialism.
We grow stronger by the day, though the struggle ahead is still daunting it is not insurmountable.

“We grow stronger every day”? WTF? Socialism? NOT, get out of our country and go back to Russia, where Socialism has failed…

@DefendThyself
What an incredibly stupid comment, even for a troll. Telling those you disagree with to leave the country kinda undermines the whole idea of democracy doesn’t it? Also, the Soviet Union did not practice Socialism. They practiced state capitalism. True socialists were actually oppressed in Russia as much as they were here.

Write in Hugo Chavez for U.S. president.

Exxon as it can afford it, should hire unemployed Americans as mercinaries, to raise some hell with a rebel yell in these third world nations, starting with the worst offending third world nation, the Bush-McCain Junta ruled United States of America.
Part of true business friendly laissez faire capitalism (which is not equivlent to the ‘privatize profits, socialize losses’, welfare-warstate GOP) includes the oppertunity of seperate corporate national sovereignty.
At this stage America could use a coup by any faction to overthrow the Israel first Bush-McCain regime. Exxon knows Israel (a land of an ethnicty of communist money speculators) is not good for oil.

You are what is known in communist circles as a revisionist trotskyite (Yiddish Kvetcher), as opposed to a real marxist-leninist. Like a neocon (Yiddish Kvetcher) is to a real conservative (paleoconservative).

@Withered Zionist idols
I’m a Socialist Libertarian, hardly what a neocon is to paleocons, and even Marx wasn’t a Marxist.
