Body of War, directed by Ellen Spiro and Phil Donahue, is a documentary which tells the story of Tomas Young, a paralyzed Iraq War veteran and anti-war activist coming to terms with his disability. On Tomas’ fifth day in Iraq his unit came under fire in Baghdad. He was paralyzed, released from medical care three months later, and returned home where he became an active member in Iraq Veterans Against the War. The National Board of Review named Body of War Best Documentary of 2007. Previous winners include An Inconvenient Truth, March of the Penguins, Born Into Brothels, The Fog of War, and Bowling for Columbine.

I saw Phil Donohue and Ellen Spiro on Bill Moyers and they also aired many segments from this movie.
My feelings ran from sad to angry to despair to rage and back to sad. I wept at the end when they aired the names of dead service people in a cloud format. It took me a few minutes to look up from my tears and see they were still just at the last names that began with A…

SEE VIDEO and Help the antiwar efforts of Tomas Young and others, pass it on to others.
Promoting this film helps the antiwar movement. I interviewed Phil Donahue in this Representative Press Video, please help amplify his efforts and my efforts, get this video to others. It is important that good crowds show up at the theaters. WEDNESDAY, APRIL 9 the movie is showing in NY and Donahue and the co-director will be there. Spread the word.
See VIDEO: See Body of War, Hear Body of War * Part 2
I want Phil Donahue’s appearance in my video to have been productive so I am really trying to get this video maximum exposure.
