The official stated that “the latest military intelligence data points to heightened US military preparations for both an air and ground operation against Iran.” He added that the Pentagon has probably not decided when to attack, but that they are looking for a way “that would enable the Americans to bring the country to its knees at minimal cost.” For the first time in four years, the US

Naval presence in the Persian Gulf has reached the level that existed shortly before the invasion of Iraq. According to Colonel General Leonid Ivashov, vice president of the Academy of Geopolitical Sciences, the Pentagon is planning to deliver a massive air strike on Iran’s military infrastructure soon. This comes in the wake of Vice President Cheney’s trip to the Middle East in which he promising Israel that the US would eliminate “the Iranian threat”.

The plans will “deal with any sudden nuclear and radioactive hazards that may affect the Kingdom following expert warnings of possible attacks on Iran’s Bushehr nuclear reactors”. With Admiral William Fallon being forced to resign for opposing military action with Iran, and a heightened build-up of American firepower in the Persian Gulf, Washington is now telling its allies to take precautionary measures against nuclear war.
