The 24-hour news networks really couldn’t care less about the people it spent so much time complimenting as they now rush out the door to court Indiana. Maybe we’ll see you in another four years Pennsylvania. Chances are you’ll still have the same problems and will be even more desperate to believe those promises again.

Great clip. John Oliver and Jason Jones really showed how the news media pretends to care about the people who are really hurting. Good, hardworking people who deserve a break from a government that continues to screw them over. The two parents at the table in the diner, the guy at the diner counter, the woman at the ice cream stand, and the woman at the bar are some examples of the millions of down-to-earth, diligent, good Americans out there who deserve a government AND news media that are faithful to them. The guy at the diner counter identified perfectly the three key issues facing Pennsylvanians—and most Americans—in this election:
-The economy
-High gas prices
-Housing market in the tank
He was absolutely right about Hillary and Obama. Hillary was able to connect with the people in Pennsylvania on the key issues while Obama was vague on those issues. I also think he’s right that Hillary could be the better candidate. While I personally disagree with her on Iran, she seems more experienced than Obama to tackle the domestic issues. But even if Obama ends up getting the nomination, I’ll support him over McCain who is totally out of it when it comes to Iraq.
