Excuse the language, but yes, Barack Obama is a giant pussy for consistently giving in to right-wing pressure to disown his acquaintances and political positions. On a side note, maybe it says something that we have a male candidate who’s a complete pussy and a female candidate who’s a huge dick. Hooray for breaking barriers in terms of sex-specific terminology.

No one expected a capitalist sell-out like Obama to defend Reverend Wright, but few expected him to outright denounce the man in public. Whether I agreed with Barack’s politics or not, I at least respected him for playing it cool and having a certain amount of integrity. Not anymore.

Just as Obama has seemingly refused to criticize Hillary’s hawkish behavior towards Iran and her vote for the Iraq War (he would’ve sealed the deal by now if they were a bigger issue), so too has he wussed out on the media by legitimizing their witch-hunt of the reverend. Grow a pair Barack. Stop betraying your liberal base to appease your enemies. Stop fueling their misconceptions.

If McCain tells you to repudiate Carter, you don’t have to do it. If Fox News says that Wright is an anti-American bigot, you don’t have to agree. Is this what your unified America looks like? A place where liberals must capitulate to the demands of the ignorant until we are indeed all unified behind one conservative narrative, free of independent thought and dissent?

Because Wright was critical of American policy and society, Obama said the reverend was “giving comfort to those who prey on hate”. Hmmm, I remember a certain president saying something similar in that critics of American foreign policy were giving comfort to the enemy.

So there you have it. It’s clearly our fault for encouraging those bitter white folks to cling to guns and religion. They’re the true Americans whose attacks are perfectly acceptable, but anyone on the other side of the fence must be silenced if they get too uppity.

Here here! Obama is a total sell-out. I don’t know why black people think that he’s going to change the black American experience. They’re in a for a big surprise if he becomes president. Obama has done little for the black community–I guess, the major thing he has done is run for president. I wish people would stop jumping on the Obama bandwagon and see through his flowery, empty promises of change. People critized Clinton for stating that she’d “obliterate Iran” if the country attacked Israel, but Obama basically said the same in euphemized words. I think that Obama and Clinton basically hold the same ideologies and are more liberal than they are currently fashioning themselves to be. Clinton, however, would make a far better president because her experience.

I’m glad you share my disgust with Barack, but perplexed that you’re not also outraged by Senator Clinton when you even recognize that they “basically hold the same ideologies”. Her “experience” isn’t much greater than Barack’s, and what is on her resume surely isn’t anything to brag about.

If he’s elected planes will be flying into buildings in this country on a regular basis because the bad guys know obama will hem and haw and wring his hands and make weak decisions ala Jimmy Carter…who’s still acting like a pussy. They’re always the victim of the “right wing”, society in general, the rich, sexists, racists, homophobes, etc. They can’t take responsibility for their actions, nothing is ever their fault, they want the government to wipe their butts from the cradle to the grave using their neighbors money, which the government legally steals. If there is ever another civil war, it is comforting to know that the liberals will lose since they are scared of guns (they don’t want to own them), generally speaking, and will always be tricked into “talking” while the opponent continues operations as normal.

sadly it is true that barack has mellowed his position on quite a few issues losing much of the progressive aspects that made him an attractive candidate. but imagine, if barack were to keep those aspects of his campaign in the general election..hmm i wonder what would happen? he would be in the same position as Ralph Nader, Cynthia McKinney and other admirable progressive candidates that are speaking honestly and intelligently about the issues that most plague not only this country but the global community as well. Back in 2000 I supported Ralph Nader and I’ve seen the course this country has taken over the last 8 years and I can’t risk having John McCain continue the path we are headed down.

I understand the positions of progressives and I do consider myself one, I have a deep admiration for the actions of so called “militant” groups such as the Black Panther Party but if Huey Newton were alive today and ran for president he woudnt get anywhere. Barack is a step in the right direction, thats the bottom line. This country isn’t going to wake up one day and realize the muck we are in and decide that a two party system run by multinational corporations that fund either party’s campaigns is completely wrong. Most people in this country are fucking stupid and we as progressives know that. As much as it pains me to say this, change is gradual. Barack has changed his positions on many key issues, but the only hope I can have is that once he is in office he can fight for the same people he represented when he was a community organizer and a senator in Illinois. Hopefully he can institute a responsible and ethical world view and intervene in countries that need our humanitarian support, not those in which we have a financial interest in.

Politics suck because most people aren’t ready to see the change that they need but some of us do. And I think its our responsibility to educate our fellow citizens to recognize what the rest of the world already knows: America is mad fucked up.

Anyway, back to the actual point… you can’t create peace between Israelis and Palestinians until you start talking to Hamas…. expecting Hamas to shift its positions on Israel while Gaza is (apparently today) still under fire, is absurd. If Obama wants to get serious about creating peace, he or his envoys need to start meeting with Hamas… otherwise, yep, he’s just a pussy.

Obama is a pussy because under his administration Iran and N. Korea will have gotten nukes and he will have done absolutely nothing but cry like the big liberal pussy that he is to the U.N. Obama said, “words have to have meaning!”, a few days ago when N. Korea launched a rocket. Yet, we all know this big liberal pussy is just going to keep sanctioning N. Korea and Kim Jong is going to keep laughing in his face, because sanctions simply WILL NOT work with countries like N. Korea and Iran. Both of these countries are well aware that Obama will never attack because he is a liberal and an empty suit who can’t even hold on to his country’s own money without spending it into a balivian! The best we can hope for is that Israel takes out Iran’s nuclear capability like they did with Iraq in 1982. This should give us enough time to unload Obama and put in a REAL president with REAL values who sees the world for what it is rather than just because his skin color is dark. The Rev. Wright was denounced for accurately describing U.S. foreign policy. He said nothing that Dr. Paul, Prof. Chomsky, Ms. McKinney had not said months earlier. I am not going to sit here and say that I totally support B.O. as the POTUS, and why would it shock anyone that he has taken a “centerist” position as the POTUS. First off, the man cannot win for losing, he tries to put people in his office like Rom Emmanuel, which I honestly do not like the guy, but is he a blue-dog and unfortunately, he needs people like this to keep him balanced so that we can get the dems functional. Did MLK (whom Obama is often falsely compared with) change his objective when it was clear he was a target? No, that’s part of the job. You speak the truth regardless of the consequences. Otherwise, look for another line of work. Speaking out and saying unpopular shit is what public figures do.
