I’m of the opinion that God Loves Ugly was the last decent Atmosphere album and Slug’s been phoning it in ever since, but When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold does have at least a couple great tracks. This is one of them.

Say what? Seven’s Travels was kind of hit and miss, but You Can’t Imagine… was solid! Anyway, I’m head over heels for Lemons. “Yesterday” is pretty damn powerful, and the rest of them do a great job at capturing the sentiments of us 20-something Midwesterners. Feels like every song on that album is about me or someone I know (except Skinny… still not sure how I feel about that one).
