Obama has of late, been pandering, but it is only pandering, We will see change and hope. Hope that things will change, not change every day on what we hoped would have been change.

“We will see change and hope.” Now there’s some wishful thinking.

This is a center-right nation, and Team Obama is wise enough to recognize that nothing spells inherit doom more than being painted into a corner as a McGovern radical leftist.
I don’t favor this recent pandering to the center either, but for all the talk of post-partisanship, this kind of GOP tactic is all too partisan as is the response.

Obama is going to do whatever he is pressured into doing. He is applying to fill an institutional role. He can only be considered a “popular president” if his supporters in the population are critical and demanding and pressuring of him. See the article “Players, not Cheerleaders” by Naomi Klein and Jeremy Scahill.
And speaking of this “pandering to the center,” go read the article “Shift to the Center” by Paul Street.
