5. Oh how many times the thought of Ernest B. had crossed my mind just as I was nearing the finish line of ultimate personal satisfaction.. Ahhh, the cat’s finally out of the bag.

   Just how much mental masturbation is the concept of contemporary main stream morning newsy-shows anyway?

   As Rome, and the rest of the Planet smolders, there are a record number of TV shows on the art of ‘fiddling’.

   N./S. Korea in a standoff? No problem.
   India and Pakistan pressing the 50 yard line? No problem.
   Israel encircling and starving the Palestinian former occupants of their house? No problem.
   Russia and Georgia at an idiomatic impasse? no problem.
   Iran, in a cultural reference, demanding Israel to be ‘wiped from memory’ (ignored) yet being reported to us as an act of aggression and racism? No problem.
   Obama heading headlong into an Afghani Vietnam quagmire/ money siphon? No problem.
   U.S. oil companies posting world record shattering profit amounts each and every quarter as they demand to “Drill baby drill” and continue to stifle the development of sustainable energy and transportation development? No problem.
   Risky, unregulated investment “Capitalists” suffering as the result of their greed, demanding and receiving a socialized “Bail-out” from the pockets of America’s as yet unborn while simultaneously padding their nests with lavish bonuses and golden parachutes? No problem.
   US Veteran suicides rising to a level not seen since Vietnam while the VA denies or mitigates treatment for Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome? No problem.
   An African American elected President, as a backlash to the legacy of the most liberty-slashing, freedom-collapsing, war-starting American leader ever, citing an intentionally vague “Change” and benignly optimistic “Hope” as a policy platform while assertively maintaining the political status-quo of the previous 28 years? No problem.

   Borgnine ‘earnestly’ fiddles with his noodle as we diddle with our piddles and never quibble the media riddle.

   Ask not what your President has promised. “Hope”. Ask what he has actually done. (installed each of his ‘ideological opponents’ to key positions, Remote-control-drone bombed Pakistan, avoided not-for-profit single payer healthcare, supported Israeli hegemony, and handed over our kid’s futures to the banking billionaires.)

   Perhaps the preceding is a sign of insanity in a sane world… or vice verse.
