The latest Reuters/Zogby Poll shows McCain taking the lead over Barack Obama in the POTUS race just as Democrats prepare for their convention in Denver.
Barack Obama was never a liberal, but he at least had an easy time making himself out to be one during the primaries when no one knew a damn thing about him. Now that Barack’s the sole focus of this election, significant numbers of ill-informed liberal voters are realizing they’ve been had.
Democrats have stood idly by for months as their candidate openly serenades the corporate elite. They’ve done nothing to strengthen Barack other than insist that everyone fall in line behind him and shut up.
Yet, despite their failure to push Obama off the same idiotic course that Gore and Kerry took, Democrats will still blame Nader and McKinney for the predictable lose their candidate is headed towards. They’ve become an ineffective party of perpetual scapegoating, picking candidates who don’t represent them and blaming their defeat on the candidates who do.

I agree with most of your assessment, but in spite of their stupidity I don’t see how old man McCain stands a chance of winning this election. Granted, it won’t make any difference who wins the election, but it seems the puppet-masters have decided it’s the Democrat puppet’s turn to take center stage. Given the huge discontentment with the Re-pube-licans, it is necessary to let the Democraps “win” just to give people the illusion that they are actually participating in a democracy.

“They’ve become an ineffective party of perpetual scapegoating, picking candidates who don’t represent them and blaming their defeat on the candidates who do.”
I must take exception to the last part of this sentence.
When it comes to the Dem Party, they choose precisely who they want. The problem is that so many people still embracing the Dem party won’t high tail and run from what has morphed into ReTHUG lite.
It is the brainwashed people. The Party gets exactly what it wants.
