I’ll be Gone for the Next 2 Weeks

I’ll be at the Democratic National Convention in Denver starting today, then the Republican National Convention in Minneapolis the next week. I’m unsure how much access I’ll have to the internet or how much time I’ll have to blog, so expect things to be a bit slower but not dead.

And now a topic for ya’ll to discuss in my absence: Joe Biden - Obama’s running mate.

What do ya’ll think of the pro-Israel, pro-death penalty, pro-corporate, pro-wiretapping, anti-drug, anti-same sex marriage, border fence supporting Senator from Delaware whose major funds come from the agribusiness, communications, insurance, and defense sectors? It seems like Obama’s “change” catchphrase is intended to be humorously ironic. Still, don’t let my opinion sway you. Talk amongst yourselves.

  1. Best conservative ticket in a generation. The democrats have succeeded in re-taking political power from the conservatives, by becoming conservatives themselves.

It’s scary when you think of how the media will play the Obama/Biden ticket as “liberal”… kinda gives me chills just thinking about it.

Good luck at the conventions. I’m guessing you’re going to be needing at least two showers a day after hanging with those crowds.

  2. Nobody has said it? Ok, let me be the first to say that he’s a ood guy, he’s just Biden his time. Oh dear, I feel ill. No, but seriously, he’s a great guy……………………..for me to poop on.

  3. “I’m guessing you’re going to be needing at least two showers a day after hanging with those crowds.”

Maybe more if he’s one of many to be chosen for a stay in “Gitmo on the Platte.”

  4. Heh. Somehow, I think that the folks in the holding cells will be “cleaner” than the others attending the convention.

  5. I think maybe you’ve generalized Biden’s views a bit much, but I can’t say I’m excited about him.
I more said “meh” when I found out. I think he’ll do well at getting the centralist votes obama will already get, and maybe stealing some from the ‘maverick’.

Probably should do a bit more diving into his political record before I make any clear cut decisions. However, I do know you’ve generalized his view points just a bit. Sounds like a McCain attack ad (if McCain was a lot more liberal:P)

  6. Quite frankly, none of the VP candidates endlessly analyzed really set me afire. But compared with Obama’s charisma and oratory skills, almost everyone pales in comparison.

A safe choice and the pick I too would have made.
