Biography

Jennifer Llarena is currently affiliated with a Manila-based thinktank where she currently does policy research and advocacy work aimed at reforming the Philippine maritime industry. She has co-written a number of policy papers, industry studies, and articles on topics such as reforming the Philippine ports and shipping sectors, port security, parallel importation, and the Philippine industrial reform program.

She also has extensive experience in the area of international trade policy having worked at the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry's International Trade Group.

Jen took up her Master of Arts in Applied Business Economics at the University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P). She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of the Philippines (UP) in Diliman where she was an active member of Amnesty International-UP Chapter.
