Anonymous, the over 9000 member-strong anti-Scientology group, was referenced by Oprah the other day as she read a comment off her message board. Oprah is obviously unfamiliar with the group’s tagline: “We do not forgive. We do not forget.” I can only imagine the number of responses that comment must’ve received from members of Oprahs audience as they stopped snooping through their children’s computer just long enough to feed their hysteria on her website.

When Davis Fleetwood interviews a presidential candidate he doesn’t fuck around. This is the kind of substantive work which proves why the Hermit ought to take Katie Couric’s job. Sure, there might be a lot less awkward flirting during interviews, but on the plus side people might actually learn something.

Not to brag, but I was responsible for setting up this interview between Jackie, Dunlap, and Ralph so if it becomes newsworthy you know who the man is. Renetto and Davis Fleetwood will also be releasing their interview videos today, so I’ll also embed them when they come out. If I can help it, the Nader campaign will be taking a different course this year by developing a stronger online presence. If you rate and comment on these videos at the source we can get things off to a good start by making them the most commented and viewed on YouTube.
Also, be sure to visit Constitution Pledge and donate to the 10-day money drive that ends on the 27th. Lets show the corporate media that some people in this country do still care about their civil liberties and constitutional protections being destroyed. Please donate as much as you can.

This short doc I produced was selected for air by Current TV and premiered on the network over the weekend.
Politicians have promised universal health care for generations, but more Americans than ever before remain uninsured and in constant fear for their health. Millions of the uninsured are young college grads like Justine and her boyfriend Brian, who are caught off guard when a serious illness strikes. The Ithaca Health Alliance runs a free clinic in Ithaca, NY to care for those whom the health insurance system has left behind.
We started working on this piece about Justine, Brian and the Ithaca Health Alliance almost a year ago, and it was the first documentary project I ever worked on despite airing after some others. Many of the rough edges and growing pains - which almost derailed the project on a couple occasions - are evident, and Current’s highly-edited and sentimental version leaves out a lot of the more compelling research and interviews we did for the piece. But hopefully it succeeds in shedding a tiny bit of light on the heart-breaking problem of health care in this country.
